Si pregano i soci e chiunque desideri conferire dei semi per l’inserimento sull’Index Seminum di utilizzare il modulo compilabile qui sotto. L’utilizzo di questo modulo velocizza e anticipa la pubblicazione dell’Index Seminum. È comunque possibile conferire semi anche senza la compilazione del modulo. Ogni anno i semi devono comunque arrivare in sede entro il 30 novembre per essere inseriti sull’Index Seminum dell’anno successivo. L’A.Di.P.A. si riserva il diritto di controllare i semi, di decidere dell’opportunità di inserirli o meno e di inserirli con il nome botanico che ritiene corretto.

Soprattutto nel caso di taxa inferiori alla specie (sottospecie, varietà, forme, cultivar, ecc.) si raccomanda di fare attenzione che i semi siano puri e non derivino da incroci indesiderati. Nel caso si conferiscano cultivar insolite è necessario fornire una descrizione. Inoltre è necessario che i semi siano il più possibile ripuliti da polpa (se questa non è secca e/o utile ad una maggiore conservabilità), resti di frutti secchi, foglie ed altre scorie.

Seeds Contribution

The A.Di.P.A. publishes each year the Index Seminum, a list of several hundred species whose seeds can be obtained from the association members. Each species is accompanied by a description and information on the cultivation, often based on direct experiences of the partners, and this also makes it an important encyclopedic resource.

This publication, along with the News, was created from the contribution of members who write articles and donate most of their seeds.

Some seeds are instead purchased all over the world or they are donated by botanical gardens with whom we collaborate.

The A.Di.P.A. reserves the right to check the seeds, and the opportunity to decide whether or not to incorporate them and include them with the botanical name it deems proper.

Especially in the case of taxa below the species (subspecies, varieties, forms, cultivars, etc.) is recommended to make sure that the seeds are pure and are not derived from crosses side. If you confer unusual cultivars it is necessary to provide a description. In addition, it is necessary that the seeds are cleaned from the pulp as much as possible (if this is not dry and/or useful to a greater shelf-life), remains of dried fruits, leaves and other waste.
